What do you think of the fantastic hypocrisy we are seeing in the fundamentalist minister's sexual escapades as compared to his apparently sincere preachings? After all, that hypocrite deceived millions??? How gullible, how destructive!

Imagine No Superstition!
Webster briefly defines superstition as a belief or practice resulting from ignorance, fear of the unknown, trust in magic or chance, or a false conception of causation. I myself see superstition as a handy way to shuck reason and sometimes shun personal responsibility. This can lead to all kinds of problems.

Hey, if ministers can get people to believe that they will get well if they touch the T.V. set before they send money or come to their mega-church and whoop it up with wild enthusiasm to get a god's blessings, then those gullible believers won't have trouble accepting the tears of "repentance" of such hypocrites as Haggard.
Reality is what is left when hypocrisy is stripped away. One positive result of this latest revelation may be that it contributed to the closing of the "Jesus Camp". An activity which, in my mind, was most destructive to the young formative minds of children. The mindless reciting of the Bible is not better than the mindless reciting of the Koran.
Imaginary gods , angels , saints , martyrs , devils , hells and heavens only compound the difficulties surrounding dealing with reality. Confusion leads to disorientation and a combination of all of these lead to misguided decision making . Ignorance is bliss only until you're caught . OH WELL!!!:)
Haggard's exposure is perhaps one more drop of water on the forest fire. Just a few more righteous homophobes will have to consider that sexual orientation is natural, not chosen, because they see and know a man who had so much to lose by being gay. What have the Evangelical spin masters been doing with this? And where is Haggard now? Sitting in rehab with Lindsay Lohan and Mel Gibson?
